It always makes me sad for the people who live near the tracks that the train constantly honk. There is no need, you’re on a track 🤣 there needs to be a certain level of responsibility for other people to not be on the track. The barriers and lights are enough 🤣. You would never have a train honk multiple times per crossing like that here in the UK and no more people are hit by trains because of it 😅

29:17, this locomotive has a much greater backstory. It was actually painted for a proposed commuter rail agency that would have spanned many cities in the state of Michigan with most of the lines starting and ending in Chicago. This was to be known as “MI train” and the fleet would have consisted of these F59PH’s and many retired budd Metra coaches that still sit unused in MI. Unfortunately after 13 years, not much is left of this once elaborate project that almost came to be.😢

Looks like the Metro Red, Purple, and Silver line dots on the elevator exit sign on the A Line (Blue) platform at LA Union Station are still solid colored without the letters. LA Metro should update the elevator exit sign with the letter "B" inside the red dot, the letter "D" inside the purple dot, and the letter "J" inside the gray square dot.
